London has had some wonderful winter weather over the last few weeks – the perfect time to head on out with my camera. 🙂

Martina, I find myself a little jealous of this winter weather you’ve been having. We’ve experienced only a small bit of ice thus far…nothing as lovely as this.
The strong contrast really works in this photo — the detail of the trees/limbs with the simplicity of the snow pulls the eye into the image to the couple enjoying the moment. Well captured…It makes me smile.
This couple is lucky to have each other to enjoy in this bit of snowy wonderland. The B&W is perfect for this shot and the composition and leading lines just work perfectly. The quote from Dickens fits, too! A very nice and evocative photo. Good work, Martina.

Ahh I love winter. This is super cute … I haven’t seen the UK at winter, i went only once, during a rainy season. But it looks like you guys got more snow than we did – in Toronto, Canada – this winter.

The use of monochrome adds a cold starkness to the scene that contrasts nicely with the warm togetherness of the couple..giving an image that works on several layers.
