Serendipity. There’s something to be said for being in the right place at the right time. I took this photo whilst hiking on the banks of Loch Lomond. We had set up one of our cameras, and were filming the setting sun — when out of the blue, the canoeists gently drifted into frame. Luckily I had my still camera handy and was able to grab this shot.
I suppose the lesson is – always have your camera ready to shoot as every moment is a potential golden one.
An interesting description of the situation, which accompanied the creation of this photo.
I agree with you, we always need to have a camera.
Your photo is a perfect example. Too bad would be to miss such a wonderful moment.
I like each element in this picture:
subtlety of light, the outline of hills in the distance and the canoeists.
Beautiful, magical scene.
PS:
And I wait for video.
WOW! Beautiful shot, congratulations!
What a beautiful shot, I’m glad you had your camera with you. Keep up the great work!
No kidding! Good job on carrying that mechanical box of glass wonders around. This images offers a great sense of serenity in all its “golden” glory. Certainly a perfect example of happenstance. I cannot wait to see the video!

Love the contrast in this wonderful photo. Both the hills and canoe silhouetts.
