I must not buy any more camera gear, I must not buy any more camera gear…
I saw this fantastic display of camera lenses and bodies while walking in Hampstead yesterday- including some absolutely beautiful antiques that I’ll post tomorrow. It took every ounce of self control not to march in and add to my camera collection.
(For those that are interested the shop is photo-craft of Heath St. NW3)
Very nice shot. What a treasure!
I love this image. Let me in! Heaven indeed. Moving up to a Nikon full frame D700 has opened up the world of Nikkor 35mm film lenses to me and very much a homecoming of sorts. I cut my teeth back in the late seventies photographing tramps on the streets of London with a Nikon 35mm and Agfa 1000 asa roll film that I kept in the fridge once out of date (I followed the trend back then as set by David Bailey etc) ha ha.
One of my prized lenses now on the D700 is a Nikkor 70-210. Slow as heck at f/4 but metal built, made in Japan with crystal clear optics for 35mm, and perfect now on full frame. Shops like this lure me in and my lens collection expands all the time. This is a terrific frame that has me salivating. I love your website and work, and am most honoured that you dropped by my humble offerings, lovely to meet you.
