Yinka Shonibare’s HMS Victory, currently occupies the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square – and honestly it couldn’t be more appropriate, more beautiful or more poignant.
It is a shining tribute to a wonderfully multicultural city, it’s people and her history. If you get the chance you should go and see it and bask in all its wonder. It’s almost impossible not to feel somewhat small and… human in it’s presence.
